INTRODUCTION TO ACL INJURIES
If you have suffered an ACL injury, you are likely already aware of the long, difficult road that you may face. And unfortunately, most physical therapists are not equipped to take you through the rehab process properly.
Dr. Chakraborty himself has successfully gone through the rehab process twice and currently has zero limitations. He has made it his life’s work to establish himself as the ACL expert of the Los Angeles area. He has developed a unique data-driven path that paves the way for successful recovery for anyone dealing with an ACL injury.
Here at Shiraj Physio, we have the resources, the experience, and the expertise to guide you through a successful recovery process, which sees you get back to everything that you value with no limitations and no fear.
There are many physical therapists out there who treat ACL injuries who genuinely are not equipped to do so because they don’t understand the whole rehabilitation journey you have to go through. The one thing we’ve seen with ACL injuries is that people are scared to load and push their athletes in those early stages to build the strength, build endurance, and build the tolerance.
But then what happens is they’ve skipped by that most important phase of the rehab process – laying the foundation for recovery.
The HARSH TRUTH. Not all PTs are equipped to Help you rehab from an ACL Injury.
With ACL injuries, there’s a one in four chance that someone who has had an ACL injury or surgery is going to hurt themselves again when they go back to their sport. This can often be traced back to an issue in the rehabiliation process, usually related to UNDERLOADING and UNDERSTRESSING.
But as clients, how can you know how to pick the right PT? People rely on their physical therapists to make those decisions, but no PT wants to say they’re not equipped to handle that rehab.
If you are an athlete or an active adult who values their health, and looking for a PT that can help you get back to the high level activities, the experience of the PT, and quality of the facility and equipment, are crucial.
Here at Shiraj Physio, Our team has dedicated themselves to being the GO TO experts in the Los Angeles Area for ACL Rehab. We have dedicated ourselves to understanding causes, recovery processes, testing protocols, and equipment needed to get you back too 100% – something that most other clinics just aren’t simply equipped to do.

WHAT EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT SHIRAJ PHYSIO?
Force Plate Testing
Force plate testing plays a crucial role in determining when someone is ready to return to their sport or activity. It helps to take the guesswork, and human error out of the decision making process, and ensures that you can gauge progress, and determine readiness to return to what you love, with TOTAL confidence. Here at SPP, Force plate testing is performing consistently throughout the ACL rehab process, to make sure your progress is always tracked, using data and not opinion. This should be a MUST for any individual/athlete looking to make a comeback after their ACL injury.
3D Running Assessment
Movement, Strength, and Performance Tests
Assessing strength should never be done by hand alone. Data driven strength assessments should be the norm in PT, but sadly, less than 20% of sports PT clinic calculate strength data accurately. Here at SPP, we implement strength data using VALD Technologies, and are able to not only determine Asymmetries, but are also able to track your status based on the norms for your age, sport, and injury progression timeline. We dont want you to simply be equal, we aim to get you BETTER than before.
Movement Performance Assessments are a MUST in any return to sport program. If your PT does not have a MPA criteria, then its time to find a new PT. Clearing an athlete after an ACL injury without performing a MPA is like sending a novice climber to scale El Capitan without any gear. The risks are simply to high. SPP has developed a comprehensive Return to Sport Assessment program than tests strength, power, movement quality, and endurance, to ensure you have the best possible outcome in your quest to full participation in sports, and life.
